Katherine was very influential in her husband, Tom's decision to take up his childhood hobby of painting once again. She saw the everyday wear and tear and stress that horse racing put on her husband. Being interested in poetry, and music her whole life, Katherine knew how therapeutic artistic endeavors could be.
