Before a crowd of 58,000 people, Zenyatta had all mesmerized, as they rose to their feet cheering her on for this Breeders’ Cup Classic victory. Zenyatta crossed the wire a length in front of some of the finest males in the thoroughbred industry. She covered the mile and a quarter race in 2:00.62. Zenyatta is the first mare to have captured the North American premier BC Classic in its 26-year history. She did it in classic Zenyatta style coming last out of the gate, racing there, until making her move in the final turn. She then picked off rivals one by one making her way to the outside.
