Zenyatta Winning the 2008 Lady's Secret Stakes, giclee canvas prints
Zenyatta was an imposing dominating presence on any race course. She turned up the heat in this race making it her eighth career victory. Zenyatta took the $250,000.00 Lady's Secret G-I at Santa Anita's Oak Tree meet on September 27, 2008. Trainer John Shirreffs had mapped the monstrous mare's career to perfection as she maintained her rhythm and perfect score on the Southern California circuit. Another stellar performance by the huge presence of Zenyatta, who didn't seem to begin her race until she turned for home and then turned it on for her adoring public as she stretched out her long legs in an effortless stride. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Moss the force of Zenyatta, was an ever present threat to those who dare show up to test her. I've captured Zenyatta winning the Lady's Secret by three and a half lengths in what appeared to be a gallop for her. Jockey Smith gave her but a tap of the whip on her shoulder letting her know she can pick it up a little bit. Ears pricked she looks for competition that doesn't meet her bravery in this contest.
