Some paintings are created simply because an artist is inspired by a beautiful scene. Others come from much deeper places. It's All in the Hands is a testimony of my life and one of the most personal paintings I have ever created.

For twenty years I made my living as a professional jockey, trusting my skill while knowing that every ride carried risks beyond my control. Throughout my career, I believed the Lord was watching over me, protecting me through both victories and difficult moments. In this painting, the horses and jockeys represent the world I knew so well, while the outstretched hands remind me that my life has always been in God's hands.

After completing the painting, I held a "Name the Painting" contest and received nearly 500 suggestions. The winning title, It's All in the Hands, perfectly captured the painting's double meaning. In horse racing, a jockey with "good hands" has the gentle touch and feel that allows a horse to perform at its very best. But in this painting, there is an even greater meaning. Above all else, it reminds us that our lives ultimately rest in the hands of God.

This painting holds a special place in my heart and is one original that will never be offered for sale. I have, however, made it available as signed and numbered limited edition  canvas prints, allowing others to enjoy the message that has meant so much to me throughout my life.
